Online Clinics makes it possible that the patients and families receive our services from the comforts of their homes without needing to travel.

We offer Online Video Consultation on a variety of platforms such as Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp and Teams etc.

In most cases, the assessments and treatments can be carried out via online consultation including procedures such as Epley manoeuvre.

Our appointments are mainly available online, however, those who prefer in-person appointments we offer in-person session on Saturdays at the NJB Physiotherapy Clinic, Codsall.

Research suggests the early start of vestibular rehabilitation for acute vestibular issues such as labyrinthitis rather than leaving it to the natural recovery as incomplete recovery can lead to secondary complications such as motion hypersensitivity, visual vertigo and PPPD.

Usually, we see patients within 48 hours of initial contact with us.

Neck pain could cause dizziness (cervicogenic dizziness), similarly, vestibular dizziness can cause neck pain as well. In the case of cervicogenic dizziness, treatment of neck pain will address the dizziness too, however, if it's vestibular dizziness it would require vestibular rehabilitation.

While vestibular medications are helpful to ease the acute symptoms, long-term use of these medications can cause untoward side effects and interfere with natural recovery. Please discuss with your GP before coming off the medication.

While MRI and CT are helpful to rule out sinister causes, the most common causes of dizziness can not be diagnosed with MRI or CT. Vestibular Physiotherapy can be useful to diagnose and treat vestibular conditions.

Both initial appointments and follow-ups will last between 30 minutes to an hour, however, in complex cases, it could take more than an hour.

It's advisable to have someone to drive you back as you might be advised not to drive for a few hours after certain treatments such as Epley manoeuvre.

It is not unusual to have dizziness, vertigo and unsteadiness following a stroke, particularly if the stroke happened in the brain structures that control balance. Vestibular rehabilitation can help reduce dizziness and improve balance.

Sports injuries can damage the vestibular systems due to concussions, however, mild concussions will not be evident on MRI and CT. Vestibular physiotherapy will help diagnose and treat the underlying vestibular disorders caused by head injuries.

Balance issues are quite common in the elderly population. The causes are often multifactorial, therefore, it would benefit from a multifactorial assessment and intervention including vestibular rehabilitation.

Dizziness can occur due to both inner ear problems as well as neck issues. While compromised blood circulation to the brain could cause dizziness, it's not a common cause. To successfully treat it, the underlying cause needs to be correctly diagnosed.

Visual symptoms are quite common in vestibular disorders. Vestibular rehabilitation will help diagnose and treat these visual symptoms.

Epley manoeuvre will work only if the underlying cause of dizziness is BPPV (posterior canal canalithiasis variant), provided the procedure is performed correctly. Correct diagnosis is half the cure.

We do not routinely write to your GP/Employer, however, if you want us to write a report to your GP/Employer, we can do so upon your request. You will receive a copy of it. There will be an admin fee for this report.
